This is a bizarre little book. Reading it one way, it is a horror story. Reading it another, it could be an allegory. Either way, there is a lot to talk about in what seems like an easy-to-read book. Steve's baby brother is born with an illness of some sort. He believes his prayers for the baby's health are answered when he begins to dream about angels. Are these angels good? And what about the itinerant knife sharpener? Is he as creepy as he seems?
